DAY 01
Arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport. Clear immigration and passport control, collect your luggage and pass through customs.
Meet and greet with the chauffeur guide, and proceed on your tour of the island.
Proceed to Anuradhapura from Bandaranaike International Airport. (Approximate travel time – 4 hours from Bandaranaike International Airport to Anuradhapura).
Upon arrival in Anuradhapura, check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Dinner and overnight stay at Ulagalla by Uga Escapes.
DAY 02
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel.
Proceed on an Anuradhapura temple tour in the morning.
Anuradhapura is located in the north central part of the Island, it was the first capital and undoubtedly the grandest city of ancient Sri Lanka. It is the home of two world heritage sites. Many places of historical and archaeological interest could be visited. Sri-Mahabodhi (sacred Bo-tree), brought as a sapling of the tree under which the Buddha attained enlightenment, it is over 2,200 years old and is the oldest historically documented tree in the world. Brazen palace (2nd cent. B.C.) The 1600 stone columns you see are all that is left of a magnificent multi-storied residence for monks. Ruwanweli Seya (2nd cent. B.C). This is the most famous of all the Dagobas. It originally depicted the perfect “water-bubble” shape that modern restoration has not been able to accurately reproduce. Samadhi Buddha (3rd cent. B.C.), one of the most famous statues, depicting the Buddha in a state of “Samadhi” or deep meditation. Isurumuniya rock temple (3rd cent. B.C.) Well known for its rock carving of “the lovers”. Kuttam Pokuna – twin ponds (3rd cent. B.C.) Used by the monks of old as a bathing pool. Thuparama Dagoba (3rd cent. B.C.), the oldest Dagoba in the island. It enshrines a relic of the Buddha.
After the tour, return to the hotel and relax.

DAY 03
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel.
Check out and proceed to Sigiriya. (Approximate travel time – 2 hours). Check in relax at the hotel.
Engage in a Yoga/ Meditation Session in the evening.
Lunch, Dinner and overnight stay at Amuna Holistic Retreat, Sigiriya.
DAY 04
Hiriwaduna is 30-45 minutes – drive from Sigiriya, Trek through the archetypal Sri Lankan Typical village. The trek begins with an awesome walk along a bund of a Wewa or manmade reservoir. The reservoir itself, the surrounding scrub jungle, marshland and village are a hive of morning or an evening activity. The amazing birdlife, butterflies and possible sightings of crocodile only add to the charm of seeing the villagers as they go about their early morning tasks of fishing, or washing clothes at the periphery of the lake
Return to the hotel.

DAY 05
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel.
Check out and proceed to Kandy. (Approximate travel time – 2 hours and 30 minutes). Upon arrival in Kandy, check in at the hotel and relax.
Visit Temple of the Tooth in the evening.
The Sacred Tooth Relic (Dālada) of the Buddha is the most venerated object of worship for Buddhists. Its present house, the Temple of the Tooth Relic (Dālada Māligāwa) in Kandy is considered the foremost sacred place of worship in the Buddhist world. The relic is believed to gift governance of a country to the person who holds the relic. The Kandyan cultural dance within the temple premises, which is a distinct and significant part of many local Buddhist festivals.
Engage in meditation and yoga sessions during the day. Return to the hotel.
