Day 1
You begin your magical holiday as you board your flight to Rwanda, a country of a thousand hills. On arrival at Kigali International Airport you will be met by our guide who will transfer you to your hotel. Depending on arrival time you can do a city tour, in which you can visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre and the old city of Kigali. Overnight and dinner at Chez Lando (Midrange hotel) or Accord Hotel (Budget facility)
Day 2
After the breakfast, we head to the impressive Akagera National Park, comprised of a blend of wetland, savannah grassland and woodland. The location of the park shows that it lies at a lower altitude as compared to rest of the country, therefore meaning that it is not only warmer but drier. Some of the wildlife you will see here include: Giraffes, Buffaloes and Elephants as well as a profusion of birds. If fortunate, we may be able to sight the Shoebill Stork, especially around the shores of the lakes. Overnight and dinner at Akagera game lodge (Midrange hotel).
Day 3
Early morning at 8:00 am go for a boat trip at Lake Ihema to see crocodiles and hippos. After we leave for Volcanoes National Park from Akagera national park. Enjoy the winding roads and scenery along the way to the north. (Approximately 5 hours’ drive), Overnight and dinner at La Palme (Midrange hotel) or Muhabura hotel (Budget facility).
Day 4
Early in the morning, you will receive a briefing from the park ranger at RDB Office. Start the climb; you climb to the top of Bisoke volcano and take a look on her beautiful Crater Lake and back to Musanze. Overnight and dinner at Le Palme Hotel (Midrange hotel) or Muhabura hotel (Budget facility)
Day 5
In the morning after the breakfast, visit the Ibyiwacu cultural village for enjoying their different performances and also explore more about their unique culture after we head to the red rocks to see the banana beer production. In the afternoon you will be transferred to Kivu Lake for relaxing at the beach. Overnight and dinner at Lake Kivu Waterfront Resort (Midrange hotel) or Discover Hostel, Gisenyi (Budget facility)
Day 6
After breakfast, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Kivu to the different islands on the lake and later embark on a transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
