We all have a friend or two that are yoga fans. You’ve read a few articles, here and there, about yoga and its benefits. On one hand, there are many misconceptions about yoga, but on the other hand, it’s a great thing if you truly let yourself into the spiritual world of yoga. It’s not just the practice, it’s the whole concept, lifestyle, including eating habits, state of mind, way of thinking, values. It offers quite different perspective of micro world (inner world of our own being) and macro world (outer world- everything around us). I’ve read somewhere a fantastic quote – ‘health is wealth, a piece of mind happiness, yoga shows the way’. The bare truth itself.
I connect yoga with meditation, peace, silence. In short – with nature. The most desirable surrounding for reaching the higher level with yoga is raw nature. Nature is simple, logical, harmonized. Since I’m a sworn seaholic I choose sea as the best place to reach your inner peace.
The element of water has always been connected with emotions, subconscious, intuition. It is also considered to be the element of healing and purification. According to some researches, the sea air contains negative ions and ozone which stimulate deep breathing, increase your energy levels and also reduces depression, stress, headache and tiredness as well.
Imagine yourself on a yoga sailing holiday. Just you and nature. No distractions. Just the mild sounds of sea waves and light wind that follows your yoga moves. You feel free, strong. Alone with your thoughts. Your body and soul balanced in harmony. Everything seems simple and logical just like nature. You realize the only fears and boundaries within yourself are the ones you have built.
