Take part in the exciting game drive in Lake Manyara, wander through its dense forest and savanna. Immerse into the real jungle spirit, be ready for the close look at the elephants, buffalos, giraffes, baboons, flamingos and many other fabulous wild species.

Take a drive via twisting and steep roads up to the Ngorongoro Crater Highlands and witness some scenic views.

Experience the colourful wildlife in the Serengeti plains. With some luck, you may spot cheetahs, leopards as well as crocodiles and hippos.

Visit the ‘Garden of Eden’ inside the Ngorongoro crater. Here, you may have the opportunity to admire all of the Big 5.

Finish your safari adventure with a game drive in Tarangire NP. Take some rest  in a shade of a giant baobab, then go to the Mt. Meru and enjoy the most aromatic Arabica coffee in the world.

Day 1: Arrival (-/-/D)

Pick-up from Kilimanjaro International Airport. Transfer to your hotel near Arusha National Park.

Accommodation: African View Lodge or similar


Day 2: Lake Manyara NP (B/L/D)

Game drive in Lake Manyara NP – situated on the floor of the East African Great Rift Valley between Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater Highlands. The northern part of the park is dense forest which then changes into savanna the more south one goes. In this park you are most likely to see elephant, buffalo, giraffe, large troupes of baboons, impala antelope and sometimes even lions which have developed an unusual habit of resting in trees. Many flamingos find their food on the banks of the shallow soda lake whilst pods of hippos try to protect themselves in the water against the heat of the sun. The game drive ends shortly before sunset. Via steep serpen­tine roads, your vehicle will take you up into the Ngorongoro Crater Highlands with some breathtaking views back down to the lake and the park.

Day 3,4: Serengeti NP (B/L/D)

Driving across Ngorongoro Conservation Area you will proceed on towards Serengeti NP. The road winds through impressive mountain forest, along the rim of Ngorongoro Crater before descending onto the short-grass plains of Serengeti. On the way, you will enjoy fantastic, scenic views of the caldera of Ngorongoro, imposing extinct volcanoes and the vast plains which are only interrupted by “kopjes” – “heads”, ( granite rocks which have been polished by erosion to roundish forms).
Whilst on a game drive in Serengeti NP, you are most likely to spot elephant, buffalo, giraffe, ostrich and many other different species of fauna. If you are lucky, you may come across a cheetah or even a leopard which is resting in a tree during the day. Crocodiles and hippos can be found in or at the rivers.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater (B/L/D)

After breakfast you will depart on a morning game drive in Serengeti en route to Ngorongoro ­Crater. Afternoon game drive inside the Crater which has been labelled a “Garden of Eden” and, since 1978, is part of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. Here you have a good chance to see all of the “Big 5”. Apart from elephant, buffalo, leopard and many lions there are also more than 20 rhino which inhabit the crater, sharing the only 260 km² wide area with countless wildebeest, antelope, zebra and almost nearly every other specie prevailing in the East African fauna.

Day 6:Tarangire NP (B/L/D)

Game drive in Tarangire NP where huge baobab trees provide a spectacular background for your final safari chapter. The Tarangire River and the swamps in the southern part of the park attract plenty of game, especially during the dry season. Tarangire is particularly famous for its large herds of elephants which carry impressive tusks. After lunch in the afternoon you proceed with the return drive back to Arusha.

Day 7: Coffee walk (B/L/D)

The slopes of Mt Meru are home to some of East Africa’s finest Arabica coffee – one of Tanzania’s major exports. 95% of these aromatic beans are grown on local smallholder farms. During your “Coffee Safari” you will experience the daily life of the Meru farmers in the area and learn interesting facts about coffee growing, harvesting and processing. On your way towards Usa River, you will pass an endemic forest, where you may have the chance to observe the impressive black and white Colobus monkeys or shy Sykes monkeys.

Day 8: Departure (B/-/-)

After breakfast, transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport.

    We recommend a few relaxing days after your safari on the beaches of the Indian Ocean, for instance at Bahari View Lodge on the lovely, south-east coast of Zanzibar Island.
