Day 1 Arrive Glasgow (-/-/D)

Arrive in Glasgow, Scotland’s largest city, which boasts a cosmopolitan vitality and an exciting arts and culture vibe.
This afternoon we will visit some Outlander sites included Glasgow University, Glasgow Cathedral, Dowanhill Road and George Square.
In the evening, you’ll finally get to meet your fellow Spirit of Outlander travellers at our group Welcome Dinner, when you’ll also learn more of what lies in store over the coming days.

Day 2 Day trip to Outlander Sites (B/-/-)

Following breakfast, we will take you to explore some of the most recognisable Outlander sites. First on our list is Doune Castle which plays a leading role in the show, substituting for the fictional Castle Leoch and home to Colum MacKenzie and his clan in the 18th century. Next stops are Tullibardine & Drummond Castle Gardens and Tibbermore Church, famous for its fantastic architecture and parks. After visiting those places, you will travel to the Highland village of Pitlochry for an overnight stay.

Day 3 Journey to Inverness (B/-/-)

After breakfast, we will take you to the Highland Folk Museum. Replicas of 18th century turf-roofed Highland crofts at the Highland Folk Museum in Newtonmore made the ideal choice for period scenes in Outlander, including when Dougal collects the rent. Our drive continues to the Highland Capital, the City of Inverness.

Day 4 Outlander Inverness (B/-/-)

Today you will visit Culloden – the famous battlefield where the Jacobite uprising led by Bonnie Prince Charlie came to its tragic end – and Clava Cairns the 2000-year-old stone circles that are said to have inspired Diana Gabaldon to write Outlander. You will then enjoy free time in Inverness to explore at your leisure.

Day 5 Visit Outlander Sites (B/-/-)

Following breakfast, you will travel back to Edinburgh. En route, you will drop in at the Falkland Palace and Culross. Historic Culross is a unique example of what a town in Scotland would have looked like during the 17th and 18th centuries. In Outlander, this charming town was s the place where Geillis lived and where Claire collected her herbs in the first season. Falkland Palace is the place where some of the opening scenes of the TV Series (the 1940s in season 1, 1960s season 2).

Day 6 Edinburgh (B/-/-)

Today you will explore various Outlander Sites near Edinburgh. First on our list is Hopetoun House, which provided the backdrop for a Parisian street and the spare room in Jamie and Claire`s Paris apartment for Outlander season 2. After the tour of this magnificent estate, you will go on to visit Midhope Castle and Blackness Castle, all featured in the filming of the series.

Day 7 Edinburgh (B/-/D)

We start today with an Outlander-themed guided walk down the Royal Mile which extends downhill to Holyrood Palace, the Queen’s official residence in Scotland. (Optional Tour)

En route, you will hear about the history of this famous street and the shaping of the city of Edinburgh. Be prepared for some stories to make your hair stand on end, and others which will have you laughing or even crying. You’ll also hear about Jacobite connections and, of course, we’ll be stopping off at some of the key locations used in Series 3.

After the guided walking tour, you have the option to explore more of this fascinating city on your own or prepare for tonights Gala Dinner.

Day 8 Departure (B/-/-)

Depart for Home
