Welcome to the Spirit of Culinary Scotland Tour  – if you’re a foodie lover, this is your chance to experience the real essence of Scotland’s food and drink culture.  We think that Scotland’s food and drink is the best in the world, and we’ve designed a tour to showcase some of our most outstanding produce to prove our point!  This special tour combines a mouth-watering selection of offerings from Scotland’s plentiful culinary menu with the country’s outstanding landscapes and seascapes, and adds in a dash of history, heritage and culture for good measure.

Scotland’s rich natural larder is renowned for its unrivalled quality, and it’s no wonder why.  We certainly lucked out when it comes to a world-class natural environment – from fertile soil, varied weather and seasons to lush countryside, fresh spring water and the Atlantic right on our doorstep.   We’ve grasped the potential with both hands, and now have an enviable reputation for the quality of our fish and shellfish, our Aberdeen Angus beef, our venison, our Stornoway Black Pudding, our whiskies, craft beers and regional cheeses.   And, of course, we shouldn’t forget haggis, porridge or shortbread.

The Spirit Journeys’ team will whisk you off to some of Scotland’s major cities and towns along the highways and byways of the Highlands and Lowlands.  You’ll sense the exciting spirit of bygone days. You’ll hear of Scotland’s many myths, legends and folklore.  You’ll be spoilt by the never-ending changing scenery.  Most importantly, however, you will get to experience first-hand some of our exceptional food and drink products from across the country, ranging from household names to small artisan producers.

So, with all that in mind, we are dishing up a delight of a tour to win your hearts and stomachs.  By the time you leave our bountiful shores you will be fully acquainted with our world famous delicious produce, as well as some of our quintessentially traditional Scottish food and drink such as Cullen Skink, Arbroath Smokies, Forfar Bridies, Rumblethumps, Skirlie, Cranachan and Irn Brew!

Scotland has a spirit of its own, and you will find this spirit evident wherever you go, whatever you do and whoever you meet as you travel around our country.  So sit back, loosen your belt and get ready for a bite-sized helping of the best of Scotland’s natural larder on the Spirit of Culinary Scotland Tour.

We hope this outline of our specially-designed culinary tour of Scotland has tempted you to consider joining us.  We’d ask you to read on if you’d like to know about the itinerary in more detail.
