Arrive this afternoon at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar and be greeted by our representative and transfer to the hotel in Ubud.

After checking into the hotel, freshen up before going to the spa to enjoy a soothing one-hour traditional Balinese massage that will take away all the stress and tiredness from travelling.

(Note: The guide will inform guests of the pre-arranged massage time upon arrival in Bali).

Afterwards, return to the hotel.

Overnight in Ubud.

Distance and journey time:

Denpasar Ngurah Rai international Airport – Ubud (40 km): 1 hour 15 minutes

After breakfast in the morning, be picked up by the tour guide and driver and head out for a unique experience in the residence of a local Balinese Shaman Pak Ketut in Mas Village.

Start the day with a visit to Pura Desa Brahma Temple (village temple, one of the trinity). Learn about the temple and the importance of rituals in Balinese daily life.

Walk to the house and learn how to make traditional Balinese offerings which will be needed for the ceremony; the guide will explain the philosophy of these ‘Canang Sari’. After finishing with the lesson, bring the offering to the family temple and pray, guided by the shaman.

Next he will perform a purification ritual followed by a chakra opening and palm reading. By his chanting and prayer, he is able to ‘detect’ unbalanced energy, as well as negative auras. He then performs a purification ritual by sprinkling coconut water to neutralize the negativity. Next is the opening of the chakra. Chakras are seven points performing as the central energies of the human body which correlate to self-esteem, emotion, affection, mental stability, and wisdom. Unbalanced energy in one’s body means one chakra has become more active than the others, and opening the chakra is performed in order to keep the right balance.

Last but not least is having a fortune reading. Pak Ketut reads and interprets various palm lines and performs a future prediction while enjoying tea or coffee and traditional Balinese cookies.

Note: As a sign of respect towards local Hindu religion, it is suggested to wear Balinese attire (sarong and sash around the waist). Please be reminded to have long hair rolled up in a bun, avoid sleeveless tops, and do not to wear trousers under the sarong.

Drive to a nearby local restaurant for a traditional Balinese lunch with a healthy organic juice.

After lunch, head with the guide to Ubud center to explore and discover the many charms of Ubud.  Visit the Agung Rai Museum of Art (ARMA Museum) and enjoy one of the best permanent collections of Balinese and Indonesian paintings & sculptures. A visit to ARMA Museum provides a great overview of the island’s rich artistic traditions.

Afterwards, head to the Sacred Monkey Forest and to get into the local spirit by donning a traditional sarong (the fabric worn by men and women). Be careful with the cheeky monkeys, though! They’re known for stealing unprotected snacks and drinks. After exploring Monkey Forest, visit Ubud Palace and Ubud Market, where local vendors come to buy and sell food as well as handicrafts and textiles.

Afterwards, return to the hotel.

Overnight in Ubud.

Distance and journey time:

Mas Village – Ubud Centre (5, 5 km): 15 minutes.

Lace up the hiking boots for a memorable trek through Bali’s beautiful Gianyar regency. Drive away from the main tourist areas to Bayad, a typical countryside village set amid the rice paddies.

Meet with the trekking guides, from the community, and enjoy a cup of coffee with a light snack. After a safety briefing it’s time to hit the trails. The two-hour Bali trek covers approximately five kilometres through a tropical forest. Pass over small rivers and streams, passing tropical fruit trees and stopping to visit an impressive spice garden and herb garden. Explore a natural waterfall and see an unusual Balinese bamboo water organ at a pumpkin patch.

Another highlight of the day’s trek is Goa Maya, an impressive 1.5-kilometre cave. Crawl underground and admire the labyrinth of tunnels and sacred Hindu statues. Discover why this cave was built in the 11th century as a meditation retreat while exploring the chambers.

Return to land and trek on to the finish point. Relax and enjoy the stunning views of Petanu valley while enjoying a local lunch.

After savouring this serene atmosphere, go to a tranquil spa in Ubud, set in serene tropical surroundings, and enjoy a traditional Lomi Lomi massage by an internationally trained spa therapist.

Lomi Lomi is an enriching, holistic Hawaiian practice bringing harmonious balance between physical and mental spheres. Enjoy synchronised, continuous and flowing strokes, while the therapist intuitively gauges the need for gentle or vigorous stretching and range of motion.

After a refreshing shower, head with the driver and tour guide back to the hotel.

The remainder of the day is spent at leisure.

Overnight at the selected hotel in Ubud.

Day 4: Patmos (B/L/D)

Following the breakfast and early morning sunrise yoga,  about 9 am you  will arrive to peaceful island Patmos. This serene island is  known as the site of the apocalyptic revelations of St. John the Divine. The cave where he is said to have lived is now the site of the Monastery of the Apocalypse. You have all day to explore the Patmos.

Depart Patmos at 6pm

Day 5: Amorgos (B/L/D)

The 6th day is reserved for visiting Amorgos island. The ship sails into the port at 10 am. After early sunrise yoga session you have free time to enjoy the beauty of the island. Amorgós’ cliff-clinging monastery of Hozoviotissas has one of the most spectacular locations of any in Greece. Only a few monks live in the cavernous 50-room monastery, but the view from their terrace aerie might make you think they had all flown to heaven from this very spot.

Ship departures at 6pm

Day 6: Mykonos (B/L/D)

You will Arrive in Mykonos at  9am. Following morning sunrise yoga session, you will have free time to enjoy all beauty of this magnificent Island. One of the most cosmopolitan of all the Greek Islands, Mykonos is a contrast of rocky hills and beautiful beaches. Hora, the capital, spreads around a colourful harbour, a popular meeting place, overlooked by a variety of tavernas, in which fishing boats nestle side by side with luxury yachts.

The ship departures at  10.30pm

Day 7: Monemvasia (B/L/D)

On your last day on the sea you will have the opportunity to discover Monemvasia Island. In the morning, after yoga session you will have chance to participate in a optional workshop where you will discuss different aspects of yoga such as; the ancient theory of yoga, mindfulness and visualisation practices, yogic mantra/chanting, insight into chakras, energy centre theory and more

The ship arrives at the port of Monemvasia at 12 noon. Spend your free time exploring this perfectly preserved Byzantine fortified port, once 60,000 strong, now home to just a few hundred. You can readily see why the name Monemvasia means single entrance! In the rocky hills above, ancient Byzantine ruins loom over the town, while below a maze of red tiled roofs and twisting alleys hide tavernas and cafes and the home of revered Greek poet Yannis Ritsos.

The ship departs at 6 pm.
