Day 2: Siem Reap (B/L/-)

Rise early this morning for sunrise 60-minute private yoga class led by Navutu’s in-house yoga master. After breakfast, explore the temples of Angkor in a unique way—by bicycle. A cycling guide will lead a special trip through the jungle ruins and take guests on less-traveled paths to some of the most famous sites in Angkor.

Start by cycling out of Siem Reap, then reach the Angkor Archaeological Park, and finally to the famous Angkor Wat. Continue to the ancient city of Angkor Thom and admire its monumental construction. Afterwards, continue to magnificent Bayon Temple. After this spiritual experience, return to Siem Reap for an organic lunch at the Niam Niam restaurant before spending the afternoon relaxing at leisure. A 60-minute body oil or foot massage is included after the morning’s cycling. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 3: Siem Reap (B/L/-)

Rising early this morning, take part in a sunrise pranayama meditation session at Wat Atvear and learn a series of breathing techniques essential for deep meditation and samadhi, the path to self-realization. A professional meditation specialist will lead the session. After this amazing experience,  return to the hotel for breakfast.
Then stroll around  the temple park and continue Angkorian exploration. En route, stop at Wat Preah Prom Rath, one of the most splendid pagodas in Siem Reap. Go back to Siem Reap for lunch at the stunning riverside Chanrey Tree restaurant for some of the most refined Cambodian cuisine in Siem Reap, before heading back to the hotel for a little time to relax and a 60-minute spa treatment.
The day ends with a two-hour walking tour around Kompheim village, which gives an insight into village life and the challenges faced by rural Cambodians. You will have a chance to interact with local people, visit their homes, learn how they live, cook and eat, gain a  firsthand insight into the different levels of poverty in Cambodia. Half of the tour fee goes to a village enrichment fund managed by HUSK, a non-profit NGO that works with communities to improve the lives of Cambodians. Spirit Journeys team does its best to participate in Responsible tourism concept in every possible way. Finish the tour at the Village House, sipping on a glass of wine and snacking on canapés, while the sun sets over the surrounding rice paddies. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 4: Siem Reap (B/L/-)

This morning, you’ll wake up with a Sound Bath; an effective and proven technique that uses vibrational sound – specifically crystal and Tibetan bowls – to help reduce stress, uplift consciousness and create a sense of deep peace. Following this, a boat trip on the Tonlé Sap Lake provides an opportunity to learn about life on the water. The Tonle Sap is the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia and officially designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, covering an area of around 250,000 hectares in the dry season. Then board a local boat and visit the village of Kampong Kleang, where only few tourists venture. This unique trip will allow you to enjoy the fascinating scenery of Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake.

Note: during the months Apr-Sep the water level may be too low for a visit by boat. However the village is still fascinating and can be visited by car. It is quite dramatic to see how the stilted houses are exposed from lake when water levels are low!

Before returning to Siem Reap, enjoy a deluxe picnic lunch at one of the local houses and watch everyday life in the village. This afternoon, you can choose either a 60-minute acupuncture session, shiatsu (deep tissue massage) or a reiki treatment (a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation) and have some time to relax by the pool. Return to the temple complex in the late afternoon to end the day with a relaxing cruise in a gondola paddle boat on the moat of Angkor Thom, while watching a spectacular sunset at Prasat Chroung temple. Cocktails, champagne, canapés and a soft drink will be available on the boat, as it paddles slowly along the ancient moat. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Distances and journey time:
Siem Reap – Kampong Kleang (52km): 1hr 25 mins

Overnight Navutu Dreams Resort & Spa [Pool view room with breakfast]

Day 5: Siem Reap – Departure (B/-/-)

Spend the morning exploring Siem Reap’s colorful markets with the chance to buy a few  souvenirs or simply observe the vibrant local scenes as people go about their daily lives. Visit the workshop of Eric Raisina, located a few minutes’ drive out of town and admire his new Cambodian silk weaving and dyeing techniques. Just around the corner is another art studio, Theam’s House. Lim Muy Theam is a Cambodian artist and designer who draws inspiration from both Khmer and contemporary international design. After these artistic experiences, a guide will transfer you to the airport for your onward flight.

Distances and journey time:
Siem Reap to Siem Reap Airport (8km): 15 mins
