Scottish History

If you wish to soak up Scotland’s history, there’s no better place to do so than in Skara Brae, in the Orkney Islands. They are older than the Pyramids of Giza and also Stonehenge.  Culloden Battlefield, where the last ever pitched battle to be  fought on British soil and the Highlands of Scotland were changed forever.  Also the many standing stones scattered around the country. Ring of Brodgar, Clava, Callanish Standing Stones, Kilmartin Glen, all there to to tell us about our past history. There are many such examples all over the country.

Then there’s numerous examples of Scottish medieval architecture in the form of stunning castles, like Eilean Donan Castle in the Scottish Highlands. Glamis Castle, a baronial  castle, which was the childhood home of the Queen mum. These are just two of our many Scottish Castles where you can enjoy a castle tour.
